International Welder Examination Centre (IWEC) is an organization which is approved to conduct international welder examination and issue the diplomas of International Welder and/or the certificates of ISO9606/EN287 by Chinese Welding Training and Qualification Committee (CANB). The diploma of International Welder is valid for lifetime and the certificate of ISO9606/EN287 may be prolonged each two years. According to the principle of separating examination from training, IWEC can be an organisation independent of IIW training, or a functional department independent from welder training in ATB.
